In spring 1976 I was in the dog show in Joensuu with my first Samoyed. I saw this Finnish Lapphund, that was the only Lappie there. But his being was so impressive, that I decided: I'm going to have one someday!

Same fall we got Peski Tassunen "Tassu". In spring 1979 we brought from Ivalo (in Lappland) Kiddanaste and a couple of years later Nila, my lapphund hobbie got started.

My Kennel name - Staalon - I got in March the 7th 1977. The first lapphund puppies were born in July the 18th 1978. We had Samoyeds for 20 years - there were 7 broods. Eurasier "Essi" came from France in 1989 and was back then the 5th Eurasier in Finland. Essi had three broods. The youngest of my dogs is Keeshond Lippe.

Anyway, the Finnish Lapphund is going to be my main breed.
